It is with deep reverence, tender hearts, and profound love that we announce the peaceful transition of Mrs. Earlene Scott-Henderson, affectionately known by many as “Ms. Hollywood.” On Friday, July 25, 2025, at the beautiful age of 71, “Earlene” exchanged time for eternity, trading her earthly tabernacle for eternal rest.
A beloved resident of Valdosta, Georgia, Earlene was the matriarch and backbone of her family. A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, her presence brought warmth, wisdom, and unwavering strength. She carried a bold spirit and a loving heart—always ready with a firm word, a hearty laugh, and her signature phrase, “Yes darling.”
Earlene had a way of welcoming everyone under her wings. She was outspoken, nurturing, and protective, embracing all who needed love and direction. Her kitchen was her sanctuary, where she poured out her soul through dishes made with excellence, and where she built memories that will never fade. As a passionate caterer, she served not just food, but joy, unity, and celebration.
There are no words sufficient to capture the fullness of her influence. Larger than life, she gave herself freely not just to her family, but to countless friends, neighbors, and community members. Her light was unmistakable, her legacy undeniable, and her love unforgettable.
As we prepare to honor and celebrate her incredible life, the loving family of Mrs. Earlene Scott-Henderson finds comfort in knowing that her memory lives on in each life she touched. Her compassion, style, strength, and grace will echo for generations to come.
Celebrating a Woman of Grace and Strength: The family of Mrs. Earlene Scott Henderson invites you to join them as they celebrate her remarkable life. Services will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM at Crossing Jordan Baptist Church, with interment to follow in Pallbearers Cemetery.

Earlene Scott Henderson was my 1st cousin, she was my father's niece. Her mother and my father were sister and brother Earlene, and I shared the same birthday although she was a few years older than me. We shared the same hairstyle. I always called her the Queen. I always admired her cause she was a sharp dresser. And always had a kind heart, peaceful and loving. She will surely be missed. Whenever I was in Georgia, I always tried to see her. Rest peacefully Queen 💜 with love, your New Jersey family.
