Obituary For Annie Florence “Sis” Paradise Ray
Funeral service for Annie Ray, 78, of Loachapoka, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Pine Level Cemetery in Loachapoka, AL, Pastor Montavious Ray will officiate (Face covering is required).
Mrs. Ray, who passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at Canterbury Rehabilitation Center in Phenix City, Alabama, was born on Wednesday, December 15, 1943, in Loachapoka, AL to the late Emphel William Paradise, Sr., and Zula Mae Washington Paradise.
Public viewing will be Friday, September 9, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Facial covering is required).
She leaves to cherish her memories: seven children, Renea Ray (Tony) Nettles of Notasulga, AL, Tommie Lee Ray, Jr., George Edward Ray (Trudy Matthews) of Loachapoka, AL, Joann Ray Rowell of Notasulga, AL, Glenda Ray (Calvin) Frazier, Jerry (Kamisha) Floyd and Terry Floyd of Loachapoka, AL; three brothers, Hosea Lee (Lizzie) Paradise, Sr. of Waterbury, CT, Tommy Lee Paradise, Sr. and Dr. William E. Paradise of Loachapoka, AL; five sisters, Margaret Paradise of Loachapoka, AL, Mary (Roy Lee) Hawkins of Belle Mina, AL, Barbarie Ann (Robert) Rice of Decatur, AL, Jacqueline P. Jackson of Auburn, AL, and Caroline P. (Lorenza, Sr.) Pendleton of Auburn, AL; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

I am Hosea Paradise Jr. Annie Florence is my Aunt, one of my fathers older sisters. I remember visiting family in Alabama and visiting Aunt Sis house....now fast forward years later...espeially during covid...i thought to myself....Aunt Sis got the safest house because my last memory was her house lined with plastic...you wasnt tracking anything in her house, you wasnt spilling or staining a thing. I remembee seeing a lot of childhood come out my father because they stayed on the phone you know just enjoying memories. Love you Aunt Sis
