So saddened to hear of Bobby's passing.I met Bobby in the eighties when he joined The Street Cruisers Van Club.He and his wife were loyal members,they along with others in the club traveled extensively to support other clubs and causes along the east coast.I hadn't seen Bobby for a while but remember the good times and conversations we shared.My wife Donna will keep the family lifted in prayer.Rest in peace Bobby.

Bobby Definitely a jokester!!

Bobby and Myra were my neighbors for 16 years on Craven St in Durham . Every project we had going on from a new roof to resurfacing our driveway , we always called on McDowell Construction first . When we moved away , our friendship didnot end. The last time he came to visit , I fixed breakfast and we ate together in my back yard on a patio table while squirrels jumped from tree to tree and birds sang in the near distance. Bobby loved the outdoors. He took in those who needed a roof over their heads. Neffie was one of them. My husband helped Bobby turn his upper level garage in to an apartment for Neffie to stay safe and feel that others cared about his welfare. My husband was a trombone player and Bobby was a guitar player . Our backyard was turned in to a festive location numerous times while many enjoyed the inground swimming pool and I fried fish under our outdoor kitchen that Bobby helped my husband build . Yes, we were Neighbors. But the trust and comfort of having such a person just on the other side of the fence, is something that cannot be forgotten .
