Diane Cox Sending prayers and my sincere condolences to the family. Met Brian at Duke as part of the Pyxis Team and he was always very conscientious, friendly and willing make sure we had what we needed for our patients. May his precious memories give the family strength during this difficult time.
I met Brian when I first moved to NC in 2009 and worked with him at Pyxis. He was kind, funny, caring and always went above and beyond what was needed to help me and our Pyxis team. I considered him more of a friend than a coworker, and we had great laughs together. His kindness towards everyone was real and genuine and will be missed greatly. I know his Mom's passing was hard for him since they were close, and I am so glad that he gets to see her again in heaven now! Rest in peace, Brian, and my condolences to his family and friends. Sincerely, John Wojciak

I met Brian close to 20 years ago. We worked together at Pyxis on a daily basis for at least 12 of those years. He was a great friend, and a wonderful person. He never met a stranger. He was kind to everyone. There are so few people who pass through this world that when you speak of them no one ever has a bad thing to say about them. Brian was one of those rare people. Everyone who met him liked him, and those who knew him well loved him. Rest in Peace my friend. I know you are in Heaven with your Mom, and that brings a little comfort at this time. My Condolences to the Bates family. You are in my prayers.
