Shontia and family I offer my sincere condolences. I met your Mom while working together at the voting precinct at CC Spaulding School. Your Mom was such a sweet person. She was so easy to talk to and I will really miss the great conversations we had. She always talked so lovingly about her Son, Daughter and Grandson. She was such a funny and lively person. I looked forward to working with her at each election. I will keep you all in prayer during this difficult time and just know that she will always be with you.

My heart goes out to out to the family of Ms Carol Taylor. I met Ms. Taylor through a City of Durham volunteer yard work program during COVID and we've been friends since. It was an honor to meet and give back to a retired educator and public service employee. She made me laugh and was always so appreciative of the work I did. Just a kind person. The Taylor family is in my prayers, especially Shontia who put her own life on hold to lovingly care for her mother.
Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
