Ms. Charlene Darnette Fuller was born in Durham County on August 27, 1971, to the late Charles Leroy Fuller Jr., and Cheryl Council Fuller. She departed this earthly life on Saturday, January 17, 2026. Charlene was educated in the Durham Public School system and graduated from Southern High School in June 1989.
She furthered her education and became a Certified Nursing Assistant and continued to work in the healthcare industry until her health begin to fail her in July 2025. Charlene gave birth to her one and only son, David Bryant Johnson, Jr on September 28, 1989. Charlene loved her family and close friends. She was part of the Nu-Era Car & Truck Club, where she was an active member and was the glue that held everything and everyone together.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles L. Fuller Sr., nephew Timothy Fuller, maternal grandparents Robert Jr. And Irene Council and paternal grandparents Willie Sr. and Thelma Fuller. Charlene is survived by her son, David Bryant Johnson, Jr of the home, grandson Dru Koran Johnson of Durham, four siblings Teresa (Troy) Johnson of Selma, NC; Yvonne (Jarrod) Scurlock of Durham, NC; Kimberly Fuller of Durham, NC and Charles Jr. (Natalie) Fuller of Durham, NC; four uncles Al Fuller of Durham, NC; Victor (Jacqueline) Fuller of Durham, NC; Greg Council of Raleigh, NC and Carl Council of Durham, NC; four aunts Gloria Whitted of Durham, NC; Malinda (Alonzo) Bass of Durham, NC, Darlene (Clee) Norris of Raleigh, NC and Twila Adams of Apex, NC; nieces, nephews and a host of cousins and close friends.
