Obituary For Ernestine Marsh Leathers

Ernestine Marsh Leathers, affectionately known as “Ernie” passed on August 28, 2020.

In addition to her late parents Lawrence & Irene Marsh, she was preceded in death by three sisters: Mattie Evans, Addie Parker and Frances Alston.

She was married to the late Curley Leathers and their union was blessed with two children. She leaves treasured memories to one daughter: Sherry Leathers; one son: Phillip Leathers; two granddaughters: Iisha Holland and Brittany Holland; seven great-grandchildren: Malik, Nate, Adrien, Jahbari, Genesis, Gabrielle and Lailah; brothers in-law: James Alston, Artemus Leathers, Otis H. Leathers, and Samuel Leathers; sisters in-law: Mary Pace, Ora Leathers, Doris Evans and Gracie Young; godson: Marcus Hunter; long-time friends: Mavis Rodriguez and Katie Hunter; loving cousin: Evelyne Reed and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. The homegoing celebration for Ernestine will take place at Evans Grove Baptist Church, 12700 Creedmoor Rd., Wake Forest, NC 27587 on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 2:00pm with visitation from 1:30pm-2:00pm.

All acts of kindness are appreciated during this difficult time. Due to COVID-19, flowers will not be accepted on behalf of the family at Holloway Memorial Funeral Home. Please deliver flowers to the family of Ernestine Leathers at 8501 Ray Rd., Raleigh, NC 27613.
