Elder Eugene Rogers was born on November 30, 1948, in Columbus County, NC. He was called home on September 24, 2026. Throughout his 77 years, it was his dependence and trust in God that kept him.

​It was this love for God that empowered him to teach and minister to many. Eugene was his family’s foundation and introduction to the gospel. Another way he shared the message was through song. Frist singing with his parents, and aunt and uncle in The Family Five. He went on to become the founder and manager of The Saints of Zion.

​Eugene was preceded in death by parents Jimmie Lee and Annie Mae Rogers, a son Eugene Rogers II, and siblings Jimmie Lee Rogers Jr., Randy Rogers, Alan Ladd Rogers, Ada Lee Spears (William), and sister-in-law Sherry Rogers. He is survived by his wife Marion Rogers, and children Eleanor Ravenell, Eugenia Rogers, Marcy Rivers, Alicia Rogers, Eugene Rogers III. Siblings Sadie Mae Spears (Jimmy), Roy Rogers, Lisa Rogers (Phillip), Blondell Fitzpatrick (Lonnie), Pernell Rogers, Gail Rogers, Rickey Rogers (Vanta), and Freddie Rogers. He also leaves behind, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
