I have been struggling to find the right words to write for my heartfelt tribute! First, I would like to extend a heartfelt and sincere condolences to Greg's parents, sister, niece, nephews and his beloved family and friends! I had the honor to spend 3 years of my life with Greg. We shared a lot of great and loving memories. He always made me feel special like a bouquet of roses and I would be the one he would choose. He uplifted me, prayed for and over me and always made sure I knew that his love was loud and genuine. I met a lot of his dear family and friends and they were warming and welcoming as if they knew me for a long time. When my baby sister passed,Greg and his family were there for us until the end. Greg will always have a special place in my heart. This is overwhelmingly heartbreaking and he will be greatly missed! I love you Smooth G, until we meet again - Love always Monica aka Honeybunz ❤️

Good afternoon! I was notified about passing of our Rev. DeVon Hatchet who was currently serving as Pastor of New Grassy Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Oxford, North Carolina. It is in this frame of thinking that we should humble our hearts unto the Divine Will of God who knows and does all things well, and according to Divine Will and purpose. I am sincerely praying to God that the Hatcher Family will continue to look to God for Divine guidance. God is the only One who is perfectly able to give strength, power, and grace during these trying times of our lives. Be blessed and know that there are others who are keeping the family in their thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Dr. Allan G. Smith, Sr, Pastor of First Baptist Church, 220 Ferry Street, South Boston, Virginia 24592.
