Add A Condolence

Our sincere condolences to Chanda and the Jarrett family. John has been a friend of mine since college. He had a brilliant mind and was knowledgeable about many things. He loved God and his family. Our wives met and immediately appeared to have known one another for a lifetime. Chanda may you find comfort in God during this difficult time. John and Patricia Maness

We love you Papa John, always. Thank you for who you've been and your witness to our family. Your love has meant the world. Chanda and family, we are praying for you. Lauren and Omar Whitfield

We had the honor of praying with Hezekiah for Papa John a few days before he went to heaven. This is not the answer we wanted but as we move into Easter Sunday I am reminded of our hope in the resurrection through Christ and am encouraged that our prayers for his complete emotional and spiritual healing have met their fulfillment in heaven. We are praying for comfort, grace, and provision for his family in this season. We love you all and are here for you. The Odvody family Lance. Ashley, Asher, Brayden. and Jayce.

My condolences to the family of John Jarrett. I'm really sadden by the news of John's passing. John and I attended NC A&T State University together. It was always a pleasure seeing this smiling face round Durham. Rest in Peace my Aggie Brother! Novella Latta Baines

John began teaching me the importance of what he called "dancing" with my wife, even while she was working at that time in Minnesota. His humility in our men's leadership group with Abou, Tony, Steve, Dr J and many more, lifted each one who connected with him. I'm unsure whether he got a text I sent him just before Valentine's Day, so I'm sending it again:- " It's Ed Bagwell. I've been praying for you and our brothers lately. Someone said you were in the hospital. You're a reservoir of spiritual experience and strength. Jesus is alive in us, so that when we are weak, then we are strong. May you receive and FEEL a measure of that power today. In the name of Jesus, we lift our eyes, we lift our voices, we lift our praises to our mighty Lord." Comforting, loving thoughts from Ed and Cindy Bagwell to Papa John's loved ones.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time. John, my dear friend, a prayer partner, a brother in Christ will be missed. Remembering a time in prayer, the Lord allowed John to see two angels fanning our prayers to heaven. I bless GOD for that moment. Wanda Edwards
