I met Joe when he was still a surgical tech in the Cardiac department. I watched his growth as he became an RN. I watched him become a leader in the CTOR. We didn't work together but we shared stories of home reno and resiliency in our OR adventures. He was a calming presence. Rest in peace friend.
Jo Evans was a very nice young man my Condolences to the Family Rest my Brother until we meet a game.
Psalm 94:18–19
When I thought, "My foot slips," Your steadfast love, O LORD, helped me up. When the cares of my heart are many, Your consolations cheer my soul. JoJo was witty, funny, and extremely intelligent!! He would often visit his sister (Vonda) at work back in the 80's at Duke. She and I remain close friends. It was funny to hear them joke and word spar! To Vonda, Ronnie, and Reggie please accept my heartfelt condolences.
Joe was a very nice person always had a smile on his face I knew him from working @ Duke, hang in there family all ❤️. Kenneth Blink Robinson

Sending my condolences to the family. I have enjoyed working with Joe over the years . Just found out today . I'm in shock get your rest Joe .
I am profoundly heartbroken for your loss. I met Joe only once, but my daughter worked with him in the CTOR. She called him her "work dad" because he taught her everything she knows and mentored her throughout her CTOR career. He was the "patriarch" on the job. I sincerely hope you will find solace in God's loving arms. Psalm 34:18..."The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Blessings to the family.
One of the last Old School RNs. Fond memories of his supervision - Joe set the tone with his leadership ability, fair, through yet kind.
