Obituary For Katherine R. Steward Morrow
Mrs. Katherine R. Morrow, known to her family and friends as “Kathy,” age 55 of Durham County, departed this life Friday, January 16, 2026, at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, NC
She was the daughter of Bobbie Steward and the late Alfonza “Bo” Steward. She attended Durham Public Schools.
Kathy loved her family. She was known for having family gatherings and making her delicious fatback and fried chicken.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister Shelia Ann Dixon.
She leaves to cherish precious memories, her mother Bobbie Steward Murphy (James) of Durham, NC; husband Lamont Morrow of Durham, NC; children: Latisha Morrow and Lanecia Morrow of Durham, NC and Tyrek Morrow of the home; grandchildren; Shantial Morrow, Nevaeh Harding, Anyiah Morrow and Heaven Evans all of Durham, NC, one sister: Angela Steward of Durham, NC; aunts: Verniece Madison of Durham, NC and Gladys Lipscomb, Jean McCain and Tine Barnett of Semora, NC, two special cousins Yolanda Holloway and Jurea Holloway of Durham, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.
