Hebrews 13:2 NLT
Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it!
Lloyd Edward Middleton most affectionately known as “Lil Lloyd” was born on May 30, 2001, with the purpose of being a light that would shine brightly for the entire world to glean.
Everyone that met Lil Lloyd throughout his life always commented on how there was “something special about this young man”. He never met a stranger and was always willing to give anyone he met, his last dollar. He would share his favorite gospel songs with you whether you wanted to listen or not and yet you always walked away feeling encouraged.
Lloyd Edward was a gentle giant that if you did not know him had the ability to be intimidating, however once he flashed his smile at you, you would immediately feel safe at home. He was our giant teddy bear that was always ready and willing to embrace everyone he met along his journey. Aware that his huge smile was contagious, sometimes he would use it to entice or persuade you to action. Nonetheless, Lloyd Edward was always ready to pray with you and for you no matter where you were. His earthly mission was to, in his own special way and without shame, spread the word of the Lord through songs, prayers or hugs. Lil Lloyd loved singing, fishing and all types of crafts and he was quick to give away his creations to people to make them feel better. One time he crocheted hats for people with cancer and even though they weren’t attractive in the least, his heart was always in the right place. That is who Lloyd Edward was; a young man who cared for all he encountered and who’s heart was always conscious and compassionate to all he crossed paths with.
On Thursday July 24th, 2025, at the young age of 24, Lloyd Edward exchanged his earthly smile for his heavenly wings. During his journey he was not bashful in sharing his battle with the rare brain tumor (craniopharyngioma) that ultimately became too complicated to withstand here on earth, just as he was not ashamed to claim his Heavenly father and profess his faith boldly. It is because of this fact that though we mourn him deeply, we have no doubt he has safely returned Home where there will be endless worship songs and no more pain. Even still, he is and will forever be dearly missed.
Lloyd Edward leaves to cherish his memory his father and “main man” Lloyd William Middleton, his beloved and cherished mother Ineavelle Middleton, his loving sister Shelly Middleton, his grandmother Aida Romero, uncles Benjamin Middleton II, David Middleton, Mark-Anthony Middleton, Frederick Ennette Sr. and Jose Ortiz; aunts Charlene Middleton-Ennette and Flormary Swenson; cousins Shelbie Middleton, Benjamin Middleton III, Frederick Ennette Jr., Keren Sayers (spouse – Joshua Sayers), Marcus Ennette, Macio Swenson, Raiden Ortiz, Aliana Swenson, Jackie Ortiz, David Ortiz, Destiny Ortiz, Danny Ortiz, Jose Ortiz Jr., Jolana Ortiz and Jasenya Ortiz, as well as a host of church family, hospital staff and friends. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in the lives of those he touched.

My sincere condolences to you and your family, LLoyd. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. May the love and memories you shared bring you peace, strength, and comfort in the days ahead.
I'm a person that has truly been touched by such a special young man. I will never forget him I meant Lloyd on January 6th 2025 while my mother was transitioning from this life. Your gentle giant asked me if he could give me a hug and played a song for me. He played Well Done by Deitrick Haddon and Lloyed sang beautifully. After finishing the tune Lloyd sweetly told me "You have an angel now". I was so saddened to hear of his passing but you all have an angle now too. Your son was truly special.
I'm so deeply sorry for your loss. Sending love, strength and comfort your way. I pray you feel the love of those around you and the quiet reassurance his spirit is still with you, always.
Praying for you and your family's strength during this difficult time. May light, love, and cherished memories carry you through the days ahead.
