Obituary For Orson Kirk

Orson T. Kirk, 72, (formerly of Durham, North Carolina) passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Saint Claire’s Hospital in Dover, New Jersey. Orson graduated from Hillside High School in 1961 before earning a Bachelor of Science from North Carolina A&T University and a Master of Science from DeSales University. Orson resided in New Jersey for over 40 years and celebrated a rewarding career as a computer analyst with Verizon. Upon retirement, Orson devoted his time to being an avid poker and chess player, being a sports enthusiast, and volunteering with the local Democratic Party Committee. Orson was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Zeda B. Kirk and granddaughter, Diandra. Orson is survived by five children, Deitra Kirk, Nina S. Kirk, Mia Kirk, Marcus Kirk, and Ursula Kirk; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Brandon, Corey, Kandis, Korea, Kadence, and Brett; and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation and Memorial Service will be held at Holloway Memorial Funeral Home at 11:00am on Tuesday, September 20, 2016.
