Although I didn't know Robert J. Norwood, I have the privilege knowing his son Nakia Norwood. He clearly raised an wonderful and well accomplished man, and his legacy lives on through him and the family. I'm praying for peace and healing during this incredible difficult time, with deepest sympathy my heart is with you all.
Coach Norwood had a huge impact on my life, especially on all of us at Durham High/Hillside High Schools who were part of the Football and Golf Teams, and that impact will never be forgotten.
Mr. Norwood was my Ace boon. Absolutely enjoyed our time together. Priceless amount of wisdom , love and rebuke he poured into me. He loved hard and was unapologetic about it. I am forever greatful to have been a part of his life. We had a ball. Love your caregiver Tee. Prayers of comfort for the Norwood family.
Thank you uncle Robert for all the memories and showing me how to play golf

Offering sincere condolences to the family of Mr. Robert Norwood. I had the opportunity to share lot's of conversations and experiences with " Norwood " as most of us from the community new him. I will always remember him deep throated laughter and his uncanny way of nick naming every acquaintance. He was unique in his own way . May God grant peace to this family during these hours of bereavement.
