I am praying for yur family right now Deacon Robert Rogers!
Mr. Rogers was like an uncle to me. He and my father were close friends my entire life, and every time I rode the bus with him he was so pleasant and looked out for me. He will be sorely missed by us all. Sending lots of love, hugs and peace to the Rogers family during this time. With sympathy and comfort, on behalf of James Simpson and family.
In the 80's I saw "Mr. Bobby" pull his bus over to the curb because the young man he asked to stop misbehaving wouldn't. That young man said something sideways to this small framed giant the passengers called "Mr. Bobby, so he put him off, said not on this bus, and keep on going. I joked with Deacon Rogers about that as he frequently visited the Church. Over the years Deacon&Mother Rogers have been Encouragement to me in Ministry. They are some of the Royal Priesthood 1 Peter 2:9 speaks of.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Rogers a few times. We got to discuss his remarkable role in the musical tradition that is quartet gospel singing. I know he's singing in the heavenly choir now! I'll do my part to keep that traditon of music alive in his memory. My condolences to the family. Christian F-G

Please accept my condolences on the passing of your husband, my brother in Christ and my neighbor. We spent many evenings talking in our adjoining yards as he shared wisdom with me as a father and friend. I loved him sing his song as the leader of the Famous Jordanairs, Oh Mary Don't You Weep. He could get that high note. Deacon Rogers loved the Church of God in Christ Jesus,ND Inc and the saints loved him.Sister Saundra CroppsN
