My deepest condolences to the Clayton family. Dusty was a long time friend, from Enterprise Street. He always had the best smile to greet you with. Talk about dressing! Dusty was one of the best dressed black men that I have had the pleasure of knowing, and calling a friend. He even made scrubs look good. He will truly be missed in the neighborhood, and in Durham. If you ever had the pleasure of meeting him, you truly met a great person. Rest on my friend. You have earned it. Charlotte Fuller Twyman
I have known "Dusty" since growing up on Enterprise St. He was truly like family. He was one of the sharpest dressed black men ever. Always with a hat to match. He even made scrubs look good. The memories go on forever and ever. He will truly be missed, but the memories will keep him alive in our hearts forever! My deepest condolences to the family. RIHP Dusty.
I knew Dusty during our softball days. I bumped heads with him again while working at Lincoln Health Center and my most memorable thought was while working at Lincoln, we were in a play together with several other employees and we sung and danced and had a ball! Lastly I attended church with Ron Lee at Russell Memorial and there his light really shined. To the family, his life spoke for him in a special way,all the way to the end...so know although he's out of sight, he'll never be out of mind!!
My sincere condolences to the Clayton family. Dusty was and lontime friend. Many days having laughs at Bumpass store on Roxboro st after a night softball game. Always down to earth. GOD comforts those who mourn. Rest in peace Dusty. Darvin Ezell

What a personality. I was blessed to be Brother Ronald Clayton's Pastor. I called him " Mr. Clean." He was an excellent dresser. And he loved his hats. Also he was a great bowler. This Brother could bowl! His smile was contagious. Praying for the family. Rev. Dr. Wayne A Williams
If you grew up in Durham and frequent Fayetteville Rd. You always saw his bright and beautiful smile over at Lincoln Community Hospital. It was one of the joys of being a child raised in the finest Era of the BullCity. He was a fine gentlemen, worthy of respect, clothed in class and dignity. I will cherish his memory forever. Get your rest sir. God bless the Clayton family.
