Thank you Mr. Shealey for always going above and beyond to help all of the Rams at Burton. Always with a smile and so kind. It will not be the same without hearing your name over the loud speaker or stepping in the hall to ask you something and you always saying no problem I'll be right there. 2nd grade team truly enjoyed all our laughs with and conversations with you. To your family I pray God's peace and comfort during this time. Mr. Shealey will always remain in our hearts. Ciani Bush Johnson -Second grade Teacher, Burton Elementary
Mr. Shealey will be missed. There was never a time that you asked him to do something that he didn't make it happen. I have never known him to complain. He often talked about his family and you could hear and tell the love for them in his voice. I loved the way he was vested into making Burton the best fit for his daughter. An awesome person who also mentored student in the building. When meeting with students this week they all spoke about his kindness and how nice he was even when catching them doing something wrong. Mr. Shealey will never be forgotten. I take pride in knowing that God makes no mistakes. Love, condolences, and prayer to your family. Ponsella Brown, Counselor-Burton Elementary
I will truly miss your smile cousin and your kind heart and thoughtfulness and always being there for me whenever I needed new sneakers you were so thoughtful and caring and putting others first that u drive all the way to Greensboro.truly miss you .
Burton Magnet School will never be the same. I will always remember arriving to Burton early and Mr. Shealey would always make sure that I entered the building safely. I will always remember the words "are you good Dr. Ferrell, do you need anything?" He would always make sure that I had what I needed. I thank God that on January 14th, I had the opportunity to spend the day supporting Burton. I remember our last conversation talking about how much we both love Burton. I will always cherish the precious memories and the times we laughed. The biggest laugh is when I asked him to be our Ramsy and he laughed and said "I would love to do it!" In 2018, when I hired Mr. Shealey, I knew I hired a candidate that would be more than our head custodian, he would become family. We love and will miss him.- Dr. Kimberly Ferrell

Mr. Shealey "My Buddy". I am truly going to miss seeing you at work. I am going to miss your jokes, conversations, and all your help. You were always there when I needed your help, you came with urgency and no hesitation. Who would have known you have a great jump shot! It was so much fun shooting baskets with you outside. Our Ramsy...things at Burton will not be the same without you. You were the first person I would see once I entered the building; and if I did not see you, I would call your name down the hallway an there you came. I am going to miss our daily convos about family, career, shoes and life itself. Always there for the K-Team, we loved & appreciated you! Whatever was asked, you always found a way & delivered... with a smile on your face. You loved the simple things. I never would have felt ready to say good-bye to someone as special as you. I hope you know how cherished and loved you were at Burton. I am so happy we got the chance to celebrate you this year for all of your hard work. Wishing your family comfort and strength for the days and weeks ahead. Sending healing prayers and comforting hugs to your wife and children! With heartfelt sympathy- Shana Boseman- Burton Elementary
