Mama I know I said I would be ok but I'm not ok. I try to understand and I can't make sense of it because the pain is unbearable. Sharrel and Bug are holding me together but I can feel myself coming apart at the hinges. I'm so lost without you being here. I just need to hug you. I am forever grateful and blessed to call you mama and I'm forever changed from missing your love. Our world has a void that will never be filled. Thank you for Everything....especially for loving and teaching us that family is everything (no matter what). I Love and Miss you ma with every part of my soul.

Dear Ma, It's been a hell of a year since we last spoke...a lot tears and affirmations mixed with a little comfort. All of these things, the result of YOU. Your love, Your preparation of a pillow of love for us to land softly on and You always saying you're gonna be alright. I believed you, believed in you and rest easier knowing that. Despite the bedtime tears I try to fight, my Angel always dries my eyes at night.

You helped me get a job with Operation Breakthrough in the ninth grade. Both you and Ms Betty Green showed us how to represent Durham thru ourselves with all of the housing and developments getting families to fellowship and not feud. The blessing of knowing you helped me grow with opening up to people and to inspire them to be better. My condolences to your family members.

I remember the first time you came and pick me up and took me to your house for the summer. I did not want to leave. The whole time you was trying to show me that I don't have to be a product of my environment. I was able to choose my future instead of being content with the crumbs I was used to settling for. You was attentive to me and showed me the affection I was lacking as child. I'm going to miss those Aunt Saundra curse outs! My condolences to the Davis family. Bug, Jeremy sharelle and Brea.
