Shirrell was a wonderful person in so many ways. She had the deepest faith and the highest integrity. I worked with her for several years and know firsthand the dignity, professionalism, kindness, and humor she brought to her work and colleagues every day. A light went out in the world with her passing, but her memory will forever burn bright.

I worked for Shirrell for several years and she was the best manager I've ever had. She became a friend to me as she was to so many others. I'll miss her. She was kind, funny and real. Her faith was deep, unshakable and central to her life. My thoughts are with Joe, Kelly and Tony.
Words cannot express my sorrow, I recall recruiting Shirrell and working with her to relocate from VA to NC. She was a beautiful person ,always was professional , fun of laughter and always willing to help anyone. She loved God and her family and made many sacrifices.I am blessed she was in my life. Rest in God's arms ,I know you are one his angels. I know you are at peace Love Beverly
Some 25 years ago I moved to NC for a new job. As it turns out I was able to be working for and with Shirrell. Our friendship developed to to point where I was there when she met her personal goal of a ministry, and added benefit was that she officiated at my daughter's wedding. The serendipity of our meeting and what has ensued is a part of my everlasting love, respect and friendship for Sherrill ... my "Boss". Sincere condolences to Joe and the family.
Rest In Peace Shirrell🙏🏾
