Mr. Whitaker, Bill, dear friend, I enjoyed our years together meeting on Sundays to attend chapel services. We had a good run didn't we? So many good young pastors ministered to us and all the Veterans like ourselves. I missed seeing you when Covid restricted visits and later when I retired from the VA in 2022 and Mike from the City then as well. We may live in Winston Salem but our hearts were always with you at the VA along with the others we worshipped with and among. I know you are at peace and at home with your beautiful daughter that you spoke of and thought so much of. May you rest in peace and experience the joy we all long await.
