Macon, Georgia - Graveside Services for Captain Rex Wendell Sampson are 11:00AM Friday, February 26, 2021 in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

Born in Macon, GA to the parentage of O C and Mary Chapman Sampson, he was educated in the Twiggs County School System. He was a retired firefighter with the Macon-Bibb County Fire Department.

Survivors include: wife, Beverly Edwards Sampson; children; Shavonda (Christopher) Paul, Takeela (Thelron) Pleas and Rex Brannon Sampson; seven grandchildren; siblings; Milton (Trudy) Sampson, Grady Sampson, Myrtice (Toby) Hoskins, Wayne Sampson, Herman (Stephanie) Sampson and Valerie (Kenneth) Oates.
