To Nasir's family: I am so, so sorry for your loss. Nasir was such a bright, funny, insightful young man in my 8th grade English class at EAMS. I honestly still quote some of his words for my classes today. The most poignant one was when he analyzed "Introduction to Poetry" by Billy Collins and he said that the author was telling the poem he was done with the poem after he wrote it, and the reader had to take it on it's own. I still explain it that way, and I give Nasir the credit because Nasir said it better than I could. I pray for God to comfort you, bring you peace, and bring you healing.
