All services were private. Please keep the family in your prayers...
My condolences to the family of Norman Hills. We grew up together in his grandfather's church (Union Chapel COGIC) in Newark, NJ. We were one of several large families in this small congregation. We would often eat dinner at church on Sunday (sometimes we'd have 2 to 3 services on a Sunday). One of my funniest memories is when "Spark" would be eating he did not want you talkin over his food. So he would turn his back to you and cover his plate and say "stop herring/breathing over my food!" Rip my brother, may God bless his memory! William "Junie" Howard
Its amazing to me that I'm just now finding out that my old friend Norman has passed and I have been trying to locate him for the past ten years! We use to travel with COGIC to many conferences and convocations back in the 90's along with his friend Minister Hardy. As time would have it, we lost touch and we all moved on. He was a very humorous person, a great friend and a talented sax player. My condolences to the family. Bishop Paul Lawrence, Nazarene Temple COGIC, Jersey City. revpaul7@yahoo.com/201-205-6396
My condolences to the family, may God's peace be with you during your time of bereavement and the precious memories lighten your heart.
I can hear that beautiful sound coming from the sax as Norman played from his heart! Now he's transition to making sweet melodies in the celestial choir.
Rest in peace!

Norman was a gifted saxophonist who blessed us many a time at Trinity Temple. I'm sorry we lost touch. May the Lord bless and comfort you as you mourn his loss, and grant that the days comes when you can rejoice that the gift he was was a part of your life.
