Obituary For Robbin House
Robbin Renee House was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to the late Stella Mae (Miller) House and the late Leroy House. She has been a resident of the City of Harrisburg for her entire life where she would go on to graduate from the Harrisburg High School in 1977. During her high school years, she participated in Track and Field.
She would go on to obtain an Associate Degree from Harrisburg Area Community College. She spent many years employed by the Alternative Rehabilitation Communities of Harrisburg (ARC) working with at risk youth and most recently served as a para-professional in the Steelton Highspire School District. She had a true passion for working with young people and felt she was living in her purpose when working and educating children.
Robbin’s hobbies included racquetball, cooking, decorating her home, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren.
In the early morning hours of August 3, 2024, after a brief illness, Robbin transitioned from time to eternity at the UPMC Harrisburg Hospital in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
She is survived by her children, Ryan House and Steven Rush (Felicia) of Harrisburg, PA; a brother, Richard K House of Sosua, Dominican Republic; sisters, Leslie House of Harrisburg, PA and Amber House Aman of Sinking Spring PA; four grandchildren, Steven Rush, Jr., Sire Rush, Solace Rush and Stella Rush; two god children, Justin Jordan and Albert House Dennis; a niece, Jasmine Baity; two nephews, Richard House, Jr. and Kevin House-Martínez and a host of other relatives and friends.
Robbin’s life will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday August 9, 2024 at The First Baptist Church of Steelton, 1850 South 19th St. Harrisburg, PA with viewing and visitation from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and interment in Paxtang Cemetery, the final chapter in a life full of family, friends and laughs.

Cousin Robbin, As you ascend to your heavenly home, you are missed but not forgotten. You were a dedicated youth adcocate for many years, and your presence in their world elevated them in a positive directional move upward. Yoour belief in them allowed them to aspire on their upward path to personal success. Your personality and laughter were a glowing delight to the youth that traveled in your path. I was very sadden to hear of the passing of Robbin we met at HACC while in the same class. Robbin was very intelligent kind and had a big heart for the youth working at ARC starting her own business in her home and even taking in her cousin. 'Robin Renee House was a very dear friend of mine. I've known Robin from Ryan/Stevie toddler years. Back then we would share quiet evenings together just chilling. Our world's then grew apart, but Robin & I remain in touch with one another via telephone. We would then talk for hour's. Then our worlds met up again by working together, which lastest a few year's. Robin had a great since of humor & loved her children. Just recently we would remain in touch from last year to this year. I loved Robin Renee House & my heart is saddened by Robin's passing.
