Rhonda "Lisa" Atkins

I had the privilege to work with Ms. Lisa a couple times as a substitute teacher at PES. She was such a joyful, loving, and kind person. She will be greatly missed. Praying for the loved ones during this difficult time. ♥️

The entire faculty and staff of Pelham Elementary School extend our deepest condolences at the passing of Ms. Atkins. She was very loved and appreciated for her hard work and dedication to our students. She brought a ray of light to our hallways and will be deeply missed.

My god I couldn't believe it when I first seen it still in disbelief this have been one of the most heartbreaks ever if you know you know g mommy was sweet and very kind she was suchhh a sweet soul I loved her so much she loved me and my babies so much the first day I met her she treated me like her own she also got me my first tattoo I really still havent processed this yet I couldn't even sleep when I first found this out my heart was giving me trouble all night rip to such a beautiful soul we love you so much & you will be truly missed get your rest baby 🕊️🕊️

Ms. Lisa was the substitute for my class many times at Pelham Elementary School. I was able to leave my students in the hands of a wonderful lady I am proud to call a friend. Ms. Lisa's legacy will forever be her kindness amongst the tribulations of life. She is walking the golden streets that we all wish to see one day. M. Atkins was a blessing to our children and Staff at Pelham Elementary. She always had a smile and kind word for everyone she met in the hallways. She cared deeply about the children she subbed for. I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Ms. Lisa. The Atkins family had a profound impact on my life. Ken and I played ball together from middle school through high school, including our time playing on the same AAU team. Many times, the only way I could make it to AAU practice was through the kindness and coordination of Ms. Lisa and the Atkins family. Ms. Lisa always welcomed me into her home, and I'll forever be grateful for the love, generosity, and support she showed me. Her brothers are coaches I continue to hold in the highest regard. Truthfully, I wouldn't be "Franchise" without the Atkins family. To Ken, Mitri, Surge, and all of Ms. Lisa's family and friends, please accept my sincerest condolences.
