Dorothy Mathis was born on August 8, 1937, in Vienna, Georgia, where she began a life marked by strength, love, and unwavering devotion to her family. She peacefully departed this life surrounded by loved ones, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, wisdom, and cherished memories.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Schesler Mathis, her devoted son, Clarence Mathis, and her cherished grandson, Deron McIntee. Though their absence was deeply felt, she carried their memories in her heart every day.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Waymona Siegel, who was her constant source of pride and joy. Dorothy also leaves behind her dear sisters, Annie Ridgeway and Ida Parks, whose lifelong bond remained unbreakable and her dear brother, Ricky Simmons. Her spirit will live on in the many lives she touched — especially through the generations of nieces and nephews who will remember her warmth, her guidance, and her enduring love.
Dorothy will be remembered for her quiet strength, her generous heart, and the steadfast love she poured into her family and community. Her legacy is not only in the family she raised but in the values she instilled and the love she gave so freely.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Our hearts are sad, yes it's true. But we take comfort in believing that she is now rejoicing with her loving husband, and wonderful son. As well as all her dear loved ones who have gone on home before. Our sincerest and heartfelt condolences to the entire family. We pray that the good Lord will continue to bless you and keep you in His loving care. Dorothy J. Tolliver and Family
