Alexander Preston Jr.,86, of Pollocksville was called to rest, Friday, May 8, 2026

His Service is 2:00 PM, Friday, May 15, 2026 at Clinton Chapel Memorial AME Zion Church, Pollocksville, North Carolina. The Interment will follow at The Killis Murphy, Sr. Cemetery, Pollocksville, NC.

He is survived by his wife, Gladie Banks Preston of the home; one son, Roderick Henderson (Gwen), Garner, NC; three daughters, Alix Preston, Charlotte, NC, Allison Harden (Jeff), Pollocksville, NC and Adrian Woodard, St. Mary's GA; one brother, George Preston (Peggy) Ardmore, PA; three sisters, Jean Matthews, Washington, DC, Shirley Harris, Norfolk, VA and Carol Gray, Fort Washington, MD; nine grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; two grandchildren of the heart.
