His service is pending. The interment will follow at the Sawyer Cemetery, Bayboro
He is survived by his son, Alonza Berry Sawyer Jr. (Keisha), Atlanta GA, daughter, Wendy Sawyer, New Bern, NC; brother,Eugene Sawyer (Patrice), Bayboro; sister, Mary Atkinson, Fredericksburg, VA; eight grandchildren.
