Minister Annie Ruth Tyre Thompson,69, of New Bern died Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.
Viewing hours are 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM Friday and 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM Saturday at Oscar's Mortuary.
Her service is 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 7, 2021 at First Missionary Baptist Church 819 Cypress Street. The interment will follow at New Bern Memorial Cemetery.

She is survived by her son, Louis Tyre of Virginia Beach, VA; daughter - of-the heart, August Smith of the home; sister, Alberta Harvey, New Bern; two brothers, Delwin Tyre and Donald Tyre both of Raleigh, NC.
Masks are required. Covid regulations will be followed.

Ms. Ann was full of joy and life of the party. I always enjoyed her whenever I would go to Mr. Reggie to get my hair done.She was doing nails there and keeping everyone entertained.Enjoying her goes way back to my jeri curl days.Time for her to rest now.
