Betty Jean Bennett Sylvester,75, of New Bern died Friday, December 18, 2020 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.
Viewing hours are 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM Thursday and 1:00-4:00 PM Saturday at Oscar's Mortuary.
Her service is 11:00 AM, Monday, December 28, 2020 at Highway & Hedges Revival Center 1601 National Avenue. The interment will follow at New Bern Memorial Cemetery. The service can be viewed on Oscar's Mortuary Facebook Page.
She is survived by one son, Mark Anthony Toran, Upper Marlboro, MD; three daughters, Stephanie Dyson, Rebecca Ford both of New Bern; Kaliyah Bennett Williams, Washington, DC; three brothers, Willie Bennett, Curtis Bennett and Terry Bennett all of Washington, DC; one sister, Fleita Bennett, Washington, DC; ten grandchildren; twenty-six, great-grandchildren.

To entire family: We were extremely saddened by the transitioning of Ms Betty Jean. Her love, compassion, hospitality and wonderful dishes she prepared for us during the course of our many years of fellowship Blessed us tremendously. She will be greatly missed.
