Obituary For Callie Mae Daughtery
Callie Mae Daugherty, 94, passed away at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC on August 15, 2026.
A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 PM, Sunday, September 20, 2026 at First Baptist Church 712 Randolph St., N.W, Washington, DC 20011.
She is survived by one daughter, June Daughtery; one son, Craig Daughtery; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sister, Hazel Coward Wright.

I know you would tell me not to grieve for you, but instead to fill the void with remembered joy and laughter, and I will try to do just that. I will remember the moments that made me smile, the laughter we shared, and the things about you that made you uniquely you.
So, I will hold on to the memories. I will laugh when I remember the funny moments, smile when something reminds me of you, and carry forward the love you gave me. In that way, a part of you will always remain with me.
