Obituary For Charlotte Marie Sutton
Charlotte Marie Weems Sutton, 77, of New Bern, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at CarolinaEast Medical Center, New Bern.
She was born September 4, 1948 in Strawberry Plains, Tennessee, to the late James Weems and Trula Pratt.
Charlotte worked as an electrician and was employed with Oak Ridge National Laboratories.
She leaves to cherish her memory sons, Ernest Olanda Sutton III, Greenville, North Carolina, and Charles Kenneth Sutton of Colorado Springs, Colorado; daughters, Angelika Sutton Dobkin, Monsey, New York and Jaime Sutton Varner, Knoxville, Tennessee; two grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Bless her, she was one tough lady. I had the pleasure of working with her for over 4 years and she never stopped, prayers to her family. She will certainly be missed.
I had the honor of caring for Miss Charlotte these past four years. I'll never forget how she would take her time to do her makeup, dress to impress then come out to the dining area with her purse attached to her like she was going on a night out of town. Her kindness, her sweetness. No more suffering my Char I'll remember you always ❤️❤️
