I came down to help clean grandmas house when the hurricane hit. And Cheryl adopted me as her boyfriend. Said I was the most handsome well behaved man. She told my mom she gonna get me drunk and take advantage of me lol. Rest In paradise Cheryl till we meet again
Our deepest condolences to the family and our prayers are with you all. Cheryl welcomed me and boys with open arms from day one. I am so very grateful for the love she showed us each time we were in New Bern. Cheryl made sure I had a nice room at the hotel and plenty of snacks for the boys. Now my boys are all grown with their own families and my oldest son Tom would still go down every now and again to visit and I would get a call from Cheryl letting me know that she was hanging out with my son and she was not letting him go.These are the memories I will cherish forever and hold close to my heart. May God continue to bless and comfort the family.

Sheria, I'm so deeply saddened by the news of the passing of your mom, Cheryl. My condolences to you and the family.
Today, I am reflecting on a friendship that has spanned over four decades. I first met Cheryl when I was 22, and now at 64, I find myself overwhelmed with gratitude for her life. While our lives took us in different directions at times and there were breaks in our connection, God's timing is perfect, and reuniting with her in recent years was an incredibly beautiful blessing. She was a remarkable woman who I admired deeply, not just as my wife's cousin, but as a genuine, beautiful friend. I am praising God for the gift of her life and the precious time I did get to spend with her at the end of her journey it was short but rich. I will forever treasure the time we had, especially our opportunity to reconnect. My prayers for comfort and peace are with all who loved her. Blessings and Love
