Claude G. Cote, 79, of New Bern died Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Riverpoint Crest Rehabilitation Center.
Public viewing hours are 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM Wednesday at Oscar's Mortuary.
His service is 3:30 PM, Thursday, October 28, 2021 at St. Paul Catholic Church 3005 County Club Rd. The interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with military honors.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey Lewis Cote of the home; two sons, Andrew Cote (Wendy) and Russell Cote (Annmarie) of Maryland; one brother, Paul Cote (Cheryl), Vermont, three sisters, Denise Bowen (Raymond), and Helen Limlaw of Vermont and Pierrette Marquis (Guy) of New Hampshire; four grandchildren, Jonathan, Ryan, Justin and Kaitlyn Cote; his step-son, Ricky Earl Lewis (Frances Carol) of Ernul and step grandchildren, Summer Locklear and David Adams Smith; caregiver, Tammy Armstrong Hines.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Joan Theresa Bugnnacki Cote in 2013. He served his country for 22 years in the U. S. Airforce retiring as a MSGT. He was an active volunteer of the Fairfield Harbour EMS and Fire Department for many years. He served dutifully as a Knights of Columbus 4th Degree member.
Masks are required and social distancing followed.
Claude was a big man with an even bigger heart and always helping others. Such a nice guy and absolutely wonderful person.
