David Alexander Holstein Hooker was killed on October 8, 2023, in a motorcycle accident in Beaufort, NC. Remember - Look Twice, Save a Life!
David has been cremated and there will be two memorial services to honor him.

Coeur d’Alene, ID – Saturday, November 11th – 1:00 p.m. at Dusty & Nancy Flamand’s home – 4746 E. Fernan Hill Road.
He was born on January 24, 1973, in Moscow, Idaho, to Teresa Cushman and Larry Holstein. David spent his early childhood with his mom and stepdad, Brian Hooker, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and Ovando, Montana, before settling in Hayden Lake, Idaho, on Hooker Hill. David graduated from Lakeland High School and then joined the ARMY serving from 1991 to 1996. David was attached to the 526th Signal Company, traveling to several countries. He participated in Operation “Restore Hope” in Somalia. After being Honorably Discharged he returned to Idaho where he met Jacquie Eisenacher. They married in 2003. They have two beautiful daughters, Torrance (Tori) and Jazzlyn (Jazzy) Hooker.
David attended North Idaho College and the University of Idaho obtaining a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in December of 2009. His desire was to work on the civil service side of the military. He was hired by the Department of the NAVY, and assigned to Cherry Point, North Carolina, in June of 2010.
David has been dedicated to the NAVAIR program at Cherry Point and has enjoyed his co-workers, contractors, and projects that he has worked with.
David was a devoted father and husband. Jacquie and the girls were always his priority, and he was up for anything that would make them happy. David and Tori bonded over concerts and road trips. He bonded with Jazzlyn over baking, math, and their favorite books, and the three of them bonded over their insomnia. Many mornings Jacquie woke to find them all together in the living room, watching movies because “they couldn’t sleep.” He never missed a game or school activity. He was so proud of his girls and excited to watch them grow into women.
David is survived by his wife, Jacquie, and daughters, Tori, and Jazzy, of their home in New Bern, NC. His Mother, Teresa Hooker of Sequim, WA, Father Larry (Lori) Holstein of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, In-Laws Don & Laura Eisenacher of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Chuck & Debbie Wilson and Pat Fullenwider of Dalton Gardens, ID, siblings Chris Holstein, Jennifer Holstein, Sarah Hooker, Amanda (Brian) Morse, and nephews Branson, Merrick, and Kessler Morse, as well as a very large extended family of Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins located in the Pacific Northwest / Idaho area.
