it is rare that I read an obituary and can feel the character of the person. In this case his character and service to country are paramount. Please know that even those who never met Mr. Don are saddened by his passing. You can be assured that he is in the hands of our savior Jesus Christ. God bless you all.

I will always remember his words of encouragement he would say to me when things got rough. He would say, "Brenda, do your job and go home!" That's exactly what Don did. My last memory of Don was seeing him having such a hardy laugh with a customer at Wal-Mart that it made me stop and stare, and I told the person I was talking with to look at Don, he is so happy, little did I know this would be my last memory of him but at the same time a memory that I will cherish in my heart,I'm so glad I was in the right place to see that, I've never knew a person more perfect of a human being such as Don. I met Mr. Don while he was working at Walmart and he gave extra attention to my son, who is autistic, but a huge 49ers fan, just like him. Our hearts will have a void from his passing, but always be thankful for his kind words and friendship he showed. Much love and prayers to the entire family.
