Obituary For Elijah "Buddy Boy" Odell Simmons
Elijah “Buddy Boy” Odell Simmons, 64, of the James City Community, passed Wednesday August 12, 2026, at his residence.
The family will receive friends at the home of his mother, Mrs. Mary Simmons Harris, 607 Vail Street, James City Community from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
His Funeral service is 11:00 AM, Thursday August 20, 2026 at Oscar's Memorial Chapel. The Interment will follow at Meadows Cemetery, James City Community, New Bern.
Elijah is survived by his wife, Valerie Chapman Simmons, of the home; his mother, Mary Harris, James City Community; sisters, Mary Knuckles, New Bern and Tessie Simmons, MD; brothers, Brian Harris, Trenton, Terry Marshall, Fayetteville and Clarence Farrow, GA; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
