Mrs Kay Monk was a special lady. She had a big heart and loved to help people. I enjoyed getting to know her and had much respect for her as person. Always positive she could handle anything. Sad to hear the news of her passing. She loved her family and there was always room for more. May they find comfort in knowing they had a strong, faithful, loving and wonderful mom.

I will miss my friend and our talks, she was always "real." She was just good people. The kids and family are in my prayers.

"Aunt Kay" was such a loving and down-to-earth person. I enjoyed working with her to help children so much. She brought joy and life to her family, her church, and her community. My deepest sympathies go out to her sisters Anne and Lillian, and son Barry, and others in the family who I didn't know. Her passing leaves a sad absence in Pamlico County as it does in my heart.
