Frances Kaye Burley Monk, 68. of Stonewall, passed on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at her residence.
Viewing hours begin 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM Friday. and Saturday 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Oscar's Mortuary.
Her service is 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 19, 2022 at the New Bern Eastern Missionary Baptist Association Headquarters. The interment will follow in the Lindsay-Monk Family Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Timothy Monk, Barry Monk, Larry Monk, QuaShawn Monk, DeShawn Monk and Andre Boone;daughters, Tracie Monk Reed and Norina Boone; brother, Reverend David Burley; sisters, Anne Burley, Lillian Burley Guion, Henrietta Burley Taylor and Ella Respers; seventeen grandchildren and four great grandchildren;
Masks are required.

Mrs Kay Monk was a special lady. She had a big heart and loved to help people. I enjoyed getting to know her and had much respect for her as person. Always positive she could handle anything. Sad to hear the news of her passing. She loved her family and there was always room for more. May they find comfort in knowing they had a strong, faithful, loving and wonderful mom.

"Aunt Kay" was such a loving and down-to-earth person. I enjoyed working with her to help children so much. She brought joy and life to her family, her church, and her community.
