Ms. Wilson was one of very favorite patients at UNC REX. I look forward to cutting up with her over her therapies. She truly was a joy and pleasure to meet. I admired her strength which was clear she passed down to her children who I also enjoyed connecting to. I'm sending my condolences to the family and I am so sorry for your loss. Blessings and love to you all during this difficult time. Phalon S.
I grew up in Duffyfield and at one time Mrs.Geraldine lived next door to us. Her Mom Mrs.Ada lived around the corner. Now you may notice that there's not much of a age difference between us but you best believe I never called her Geraldine. I worked next door at the Health Department and I still tacked that Mrs.to her name that's just the way we were raised. But she was the sweetest I can't remember if she had 3 or 4 children when they lived beside us but they had 2 pretty little girls and at least one cute fellow.Family please know that those that remain behind in Duffyfield grieve with you and pray for your comfort and peace.Charlene Washington

I remember Geraldine as a friendly person with a somewhat quiet demeanor during our time at JT Barber. Years later I connected with her at United Baptish Church, very active in the church and always praising God. Whenever I would visit I looked forward to seeing her and getting my hug and a loving smile. God's Peace to the family of my classmate and cousin. Vernell C. Hamilton

Ms. Geraldine was at the switchboard the day I started working at DSS in 1985. She always sounded so kind and caring when people called in. She was "The Voice of Craven DSS". She was also a very funny person. Over the years she called me many times to say someone was there to see me, or that something had just happened somewhere that I needed to be. There are still some of us here who were here then, and we are remembering her. Stan Allen
To the family, especially JaKay, you are in my prayers and I mourn with you. She had most beautiful smile ever seen in Craven County DSS, I loved G as she would always have encouraging words and could make me laugh. She made the tough days better and she handled that switchboard like no other‼️‼️‼️ She loved her babygirl JaKay with all her heart and committed her life to being the best mom and to give her the best life. She was always so proud of her babygirl.
