Gerett Jones Sr.,62, transitioned Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Forsyth Medical Center, Winston Salem, NC.

Visitation of family and friends,5:00 PM -9:00 PM., Thursday, October 1, 2026 and Friday, September 2,2026, at the home of Mark and Denise Jones, 6949 NC. Hwy. 304, Mesic Community.

His Funeral Service is 12:00 PM, Saturday, October 3, 2026 at the New Bern Eastern M. B. Association Headquarters 1885 NC Highway 306, Grantsboro, NC.

The Interment will follow at the Mesic Memorial Cemetery, Mesic NC.

He is survived by his children, Ashley Myers, CA, Raven Jones Northern, Charlotte, NC, Gerett Jones Jr., Mesic, NC, Destiny Jones, New Bern, NC; his siblings, Mark Jones, Sr., Mesic, NC, Gerald Parker, Raleigh, NC and Wanda P. Dawson, Kinston; a host of grandchildren.
