Gloria Nelson Lee, 76, 0f New Bern passed Friday, November 15, 2024 at SECU Crystal Coast Hospice, Newport.
Viewing hours are 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Thursday at Oscar's Mortuary.
Her service is 1:00 PM, Friday, November 22, 2024 at Ephesus Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1120 Colony Drive. The interment will follow at New Bern Memorial Cemetery.
She is survived by her son, Brandon Lee, (Tamikia) Fuquay Varina, NC; daughter, Crystal Lee, New Bern, NC; brothers, Reverend Godfrey Nelson (Gail) and Jeffrey Nelson both of New Bern; sister, Carrie Evon Davis-Johnson, Gainsville, FL; three grandchildren, Briana Lynette Barrow-Lee, Brandon Isaiah Lee and Kristen Gloria Lee.

Ms. Gloria was a sweet lady whom I loved very much. We connected so easily many years ago, and I am saddened to hear of her passing. She was a lady who loved the Lord, loved children, and her family. Rest well Ms. Gloria!

Ms. Gloria helped mold me into the teacher I am now. She was the sweetest and kindest lady. We would laugh together at the things that those kids said and did. Ms. Lee was my Kindergarten teacher almost 30 years ago, and today, I'm a Kindergarten teacher of almost 11 years. She had a BEAUTIFUL spirit and a laugh of pure joy. Ms. Lee you will forever be MY favorite teacher. From our phone calls, to me coming to visit you and having our talks of encouragement. You are truly missed. Well first of all, I'm soo sad that she is gone but she was very special n my heart because Ms Gloria was my elementary school teacher at Trent Park school. She will always b n my heart & prayers 2 Crystal/Kristen/ Brandon & Mr Jeff. I was also her PCA 4 a few months & I enjoyed taking care of her & spending time with my school teacher 2.
