Hilda Darlene Luckett, 58 of New Bern died Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at her residence.

The family had a remembrance and viewing on Monday, August 17, 2020.

She is survived by her sons, Coury Luckett of Havelock, NC and Johnny Luckett of Ohio; her mother, Mary Chapman Luckett,New Bern, father, R/Sgt. Major Hilliard Luckett, Wilson, NC;three brothers, Lyman Alonza Chapman, Raleigh, NC, Eddie Smith and Theodore Luckett, both of New Bern; four sisters, Patricia Chapman, Raleigh, NC, Relain Luckett and Nadine Luckett both of New Bern and Mary Luckett Walker, Albany, GA.

To the Luckett/Chapman Families and Frederick. Our hearts are so sad with Hilda's transition. Lord knows we will miss her dearly; we loved her so much, we have the fondest memories, especially at Christmas. Sad and tragic things occurs in our lives. We trust God and try and move on. I'm so sorry for your loss of a dear & loving family member. Hilda was kind caring and a very friendly person. Never seen her get upset. She and I worked together at Target for many years as well as being Bingo buddies. We will miss her beautiful friendly face And happy smile that she gave when she sees you. Ms. Hilda will definitely be missed. She will always be known for her straight forward attitude and tell it like it is know matter who you were. This is a very sad tragedy and just want to send love, peace and my condolences to everyone affected. We will miss her and love her always.
