Obituary For James Allen Harris Sr.
James Allen Harris Sr.,68, of New Bern, North Carolina was called to rest on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at his residence.
The family will receive friends Thursday, October 16 th & Friday, October 17th between 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at 1708 Park Ave, New Bern, NC 28560.
Viewing hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Friday, October 17th and 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM Saturday, October 18th at Oscar's Mortuary.
His Funeral Service is 11:00 AM Saturday, October 18, 2024 at Oscar's Memorial Chapel 1700 Oscar Drive New Bern.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Harris of the home; two sons, James Harris of Wagram, NC and James Harris, Jr. of New Bern, North Carolina; two daughters, Ranita Bullock of Raleigh, North Carolina and Jakema Harris of Newport, North Carolina; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Ricky Dye of Orient, OH; sister, Virginia Blaine of Greenville, SC; a host of nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins and friends.

To my family the Harris family. May god continue to be your strength through this time. As I am writing this I'm having the hardest time. I am truly going to miss Cousin Jimmy everytime I talk to him or saw him he made my day better and he made me smile. As I will continue to pray for you family but I am always here for y'all. I love you family always.
