Obituary For James Marcellus Watkins
James Marcellus Watkins,83, of Cove City, N. C. a native of Brooklyn, NY entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.
James earned a Masters Degree from NYU and was a retired City Planner.
He is survived by his three daughters, Djenne Morris (Minister Michael Morris), Atlanta, GA, Rukiya Watkins, Atlanta, GA and Jamila Watkins, New York, NY; one sister, Theresa Watkins, Smyrna, GA; five grandchildren and his companion, Dorothy Davy, New Bern.

I loved my cousin James ( Jimmy) ! He enjoyed life and had a way of making you feel good with his infectious laughter! He loved his family, the Watkins and Brocks. I will miss him. Rest well in GOD's hands, my cousin and friend !
