Obituary For James Monroe Hargett, Sr.
James Monroe "Little Bud" Hargett, Sr.,94, of Cove City, NC died Friday, June 4, 2021 at Bayview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, New Bern.
Viewing hours are 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM Wednesday at Oscar's Mortuary.
His service is 1:00 PM, Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Bryant Chapel AMEZ Church Cemetery 506 N. Main St. Cove City.
He is survived by his wife, Letha Hargett; son,James Hargett; daughter, Deloris Hargett of Cove City; three grandchildren, Micahel Hargett, Michelle Hargett and Jermain Smith; seven great-grandchildren.
Masks are required. Chairs are limited, please your chair and water.

From the first day he came to Bayview I new he was a special man gentle ,kind , and loved by many staff but most of all he touched my heart . We always smile when I come in and say Good Morning everybody but personally to him and say Good Morning Boss Man he smile nod his head and say well good morning sweet girl . My heart is broken I'll continue to pray for the family , it's going to be hard to walk back there and not to see his face . I know the Hargett family very well. I grew up across the street from them. My prayers are with the Hargett family.
