James O. Sparrow, Jr., 75 passed Monday, October 21, 2024. at ECU Health Care, Greenville, NC.
His Funeral Service is 3:00 PM, Sunday, October 27, 2024 at New Bern Eastern Missionary Baptist Association Headquarters, 885 NC Hwy 306 N, Grantsboro. The interment will follow at the Hudnell Cemetery.
James is survived by his wife, Carol S. Sparrow, of the home; two sons, Pastor Clyde Smith III, Jacksonville, FL and James O. Sparrow III of the home; two daughters, Samiah C. Sparrow and Laichelle N. Sparrow of Greenville; two brothers, Charles K. Sparrow and Tony E. Sparrow, of Columbia, SC; one sister, Hazel S. Johnson, Bayboro; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren.

His grandmother, Minnie Sparrow and my grandmother, Elethia Credle Jones are 1st cousins.
