Jane Smith Vereen,78, of Grantsboro passed Saturday, August 12,2023 at CarolinaEast Medical Center, New Bern, NC.

Viewing hours are 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM Friday at Oscar's Mortuary and Saturday from 9:30 Am to 2:00 PM.

Funeral service is 3:00 PM, Monday, August 21, 2023, at the New Bern Missionary Baptist Association Headquarters, 885 Hwy 306 North, Grantsboro, NC. The interment will be held at the Keyes Family Cemetery, Blounts Creek, NC.

She is survived by her husband, Clifford Vereen of the home; two sons, Lukata Vereen, Grantsboro and Kinte' Vereen of the home; two brothers, Jerry Smith, Blounts Creek, NC and Kenneth Smith, Fayetteville, NC; two sisters, Ledell Moore and Corine Moore both of Blounts Creek, NC; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
