Jermaine J. Ward, 54, of New Bern died, Friday, May 29, 2026 at his residence.

He is survived by his daughters Niahasia Ward and Alicia Ward of New Bern; mothers of the heart, Hattie Holt and Mabel Mewborn of New Bern father, Jerry “Goose” Willis (Charlene), Alliance, NC; one sister, Shlanda Ward, Raleigh, NC; two brothers, Chris Ward, New Bern, NC and Torian Ward, Greensboro, NC; daughters of the heart, Briasia Spellman and Capri Reece; grandchildren of the heart.

Met Jermaine when he was a teenager. I gave him the nickname of hyena. That laugh of his was wild he kept our house grinning. He had such a good heart and would help out without you asking. Son I appreciate all you did. Take your rest we love you. Jamara and Charlene Washington
