Bishop Jessie Lee Williams Sr.,88, of Goldsboro was called to rest on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Kitty Askins Hospice.
Bishop Williams was the former Pastor of Mt. Zion Holy Church, Eubanks Street, New Bern.
Final And Only Viewing is 11:00 AM Friday, March 14, 2024 at Alpha & Omega Christian Center.
His service is Noon, Friday, March 14, 2025 at Alpha & Omega Christian Center 1210 Clingman St. Goldsboro, North Carolina. The interment is Noon, Monday, March 17, 2024 at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Goldsboro.
He is survived by one daughter, Valorie D. Williams of the home; four sons, Jerry Lee Gray, Kinston, NC, Melvin Christian, Goldsboro, NC, Jessie Williams Jr., Greenville, NC; and Glenn Irving Williams, Raleigh, NC; one sister, Effie Lee Jones, Richmond, VA; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

I had the honor of serving with Bishop Williams in the Yokefellow Prison Ministry. As we use to travel to Maury Correctional with Bishop Williams and his cousin Elder Henry Williams, we laugh at the both of them talking smack and acting like they were boxing and exchanging a blow here and there. The guys at the prison were just mesmerized how Bishop Williams could delivered such powerful messages in the time we had to share with them during a church service. Bishop was so faithful in his serving during our Mondays Yokefellow ministry. Always ready to go and always had a Word in his mouth to share with us all. Bishop will truly be missed by all who knew him. My condolences and prayers to Val and the family.
